I can only assume it was a TV company that funded ALL this. Christ knows how much it all cost, the hotels they all stayed at, all those rooms, the food and grub for six weeks. Ruddock thought he was in an all inclusive, so as he wasn't paying the bill thought he would get as much down his neck as he could, being a freebie.
As for the personal stories, you can imagine this was all part of the contract. The camera was always there for these, homing in, something to show on the evening for their money spent.
I enjoyed to some extent the reminiscing and scenes from World Cup's past. I also thought Mark Wright was a decent character having never heard him before.
But for what people really got out of it, what a fucking waste of money, and only several 'fantastic's' heard from Redknapp.

I wonder if that German squad made a similar series in the run up to the match.

Can imagine it being a fucking barrel of laughs from the players who turned out.

'The entire German squad weren't recovering alcoholics or with a history of mental illness, told no jokes, trained 6 hours a day, didn't touch a drop, ate like Olympians and went to bed at 9pm every night'.

Think it’s a programme more about the issues they’ve faced more with the football just a side dish .
Merson came across well .
Razor just a complete tool . His wife too , moaning about how unwell he is and joining him on his Bender .
All about the same age as me so can totally relate to the body not being able to do what the mind thinks it can .
Also thought Seaman made himself look like a cunt for refusing to play against the nudist team .

Sheringham hasn't kicked a ball in anger for several years. He tried to chip the ball into the net and struck the post.
Once that fat bastard Ruddock left the squad the others settled down and took it more seriously. Merson still has that special X factor skill wise. Redknapp showed his know how when he put younger subs on to contain the Germans after going a goal up.
